The BVLEG

fosters the technical exchange among its member companies and also furthers international knowledge transfer. Together with its member companies it initiates and monitors national and transnational projects of the European Union in the accession states. BVLEG is also a member of the German Property Federation (ZIA Zentraler Immobilien Ausschuss e.V.), with which it cooperates closely on technical matters and maintains a shared office in Berlin.

Current main areas of activity of BVLEG are the certification of city quarters, the role of energy efficiency in urban development and new financing models such as public private partnership (P3). In addition, BVLEG is the lead partner of "ACT4PPP Transnational Action for Public Private Partnership". This EU-funded project, scheduled to run for three years, involves 17 partners from seven countrie that work on the targeted integration of private actors with transnational regional development processes.
